Software Engineer (Backend / Golang)

Centinel Analytica develops European cybersecurity software that helps publishers protect their content against large-scale scraping, bot abuse, and non-human traffic. We build systems that operate at the edge and application layer, analyzing traffic in real time and enforcing access rules in production environments used by major European media organizations.
We’re looking for a motivated Golang Software Engineer to join our team and work on the core backend systems that power detection, analysis, and enforcement.
What you’ll do
Design and build high-performance backend services in Golang for real-time traffic analysis
Develop and improve bot detection, classification, and fingerprinting logic
Analyze automated traffic patterns and translate findings into enforceable signals
Work closely with founders and engineers on architecture, trade-offs, and implementation
Support integrations across CDNs, edge environments, and publisher application stacks
Debug and investigate sophisticated scraping and automation techniques in the wild
This is a hands-on role with real production exposure and ownership from day one.
What you’ll bring
Strong experience with Golang and backend system development
Solid understanding of HTTP, networking, and web application behavior
Experience with or interest in reverse engineering web applications
Deep knowledge of browser internals, JavaScript execution, and automation frameworks
Familiarity with bot behavior, scraping techniques, and evasion strategies
A pragmatic, detail-oriented mindset and comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces
Experience in security, fraud detection, or traffic analysis is a plus, but not required.
