What is 360Spider?
360Spider is the web search crawler of 360 Search (so.com). 360 Search uses separate user agents for its other products: 360Spider-Image for image search and 360Spider-Video for video search. Its documentation is in Chinese.

How often is 360Spider impersonated?
We have not measured requests claiming to be 360Spider yet, so we show no share.
This directory measures requests between 3 July 2026 and 28 September 2026. The fake crawler report covers its own, earlier window (late June to 21 September 2026), so its figures differ from the ones here. Read it for the method.

Should you block 360Spider?
- Allow it if
- you have visitors who search with 360 Search.
- Block it if
- you have no audience in China and the crawl adds load.
- What blocking changes
- 360 Search warns site owners not to block its spider by mistake, because that causes indexing or crawling problems in 360 Search.
To block it, add this group to your robots.txt. 360 Search says it supports the main commands of the robots protocol: User-agent, Allow and Disallow.
User-agent: 360Spider
Disallow: /robots.txt only asks. It does nothing against a client that ignores it or only pretends to be 360Spider. Stopping those takes verification at your edge.
