Centinel featured in kress pro

Our Founder is interviewed on the imapct of AI Search

Jan 17, 2026

We’re excited to share that Centinel Analytica was recently featured in the 07/2025 edition of kress pro as part of a broader deep dive into AI search, Google AI Overviews, and their impact on digital publishers.

In the interview, we discussed why the current shift is not only a strategic challenge for media companies, but a deeply technical one as well.

As AI-driven discovery layers increasingly sit between publishers and their audiences, publishers are facing three immediate realities:

  • Automated traffic is rising fast and not all of it is compliant

  • AI crawlers and scrapers often operate beyond the boundaries of robots.txt

  • Reach and monetization in the AI era require technical enforcement, not just policy statements

Our perspective was clear: publishers need to pair strategic positioning with technical resilience. That means actively protecting against malicious bot traffic, controlling how AI systems access content, and laying the groundwork for sustainable reach and monetization models in an AI-shaped ecosystem.

At the heart of the discussion lies a fundamental question for the industry:

Will media houses allow their content to be exploited freely, or will they turn this shift into an opportunity for new value creation and fair licensing models?

We’re grateful to the kress pro editorial team for including us in this important conversation and for creating space to discuss the technical realities behind AI, search, and publisher sovereignty.

The debate around AI and media is only getting started and we’re proud to contribute a perspective focused on practical enforcement, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
